Privacy Policy

We built VowDaily to help couples grow closer through daily prayer and intentional action. That mission requires your trust, and we take it seriously. We collect only what we need, protect what you share, and will never sell your personal data to anyone for any reason.

We collect the following information when you use VowDaily:

• Your email address (for authentication)
• A unique user identifier (generated automatically for your account)
• Your name and your spouse's name
• Anniversary and birthday dates (optional)
• Faith tradition preference
• Love language quiz results
• Daily completion records and streak data
• Check-in notes and reflections you write
• Scheduled date nights
• Custom date night ideas you create
• Notification preferences and reminder time
• Purchase and subscription history (processed by RevenueCat)

We use your data to:

• Personalize daily prayers, actions, and reflections for your spouse
• Send local push notifications for daily reminders (if enabled)
• Sync your data across devices
• Generate AI-tailored content and label it as AI-generated (premium only)
• Track streaks and display your marriage history and journal entries
• Process subscription payments through RevenueCat
• Respond to support requests you submit

For premium users, we use OpenRouter to generate personalized devotional content. In compliance with FTC guidelines, all AI-generated content is clearly labeled as such within the app at the point where it is displayed to you.

To enable meaningful personalization, we send the following information to the AI model:

• Your name and your spouse's name
• Your spouse's love language
• Your faith tradition
• Length of your marriage
• Children's names and ages (if provided)
• Pet names (if provided)
• General themes from recent check-in notes and reflection answers
• Summaries of previously generated content to avoid repetition

• Your data is stored securely in Supabase (a PostgreSQL cloud database)
• Authentication credentials are managed by Supabase Auth
• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
• We use Row Level Security so each user can only access their own data
• No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools are installed in the app

We work with the following trusted providers. Each has its own privacy policy and we share only the minimum information necessary for each service to function.

We do not use any advertising networks, tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics services. If this changes in the future we will update this policy and notify you in advance.

You own the content you create in VowDaily — including your check-in notes, reflection answers, and custom date night ideas. VowDaily stores this content solely to provide the service back to you. We do not claim ownership of your personal content and we do not use it for any purpose beyond delivering your personalized experience within the app.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data — including your profile, day records, check-ins, reflections, and scheduled dates — at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

VowDaily is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 17. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 17 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@vowdaily.app and we will delete that information promptly.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Use the in-app Settings to update your profile or delete your account. For additional data requests, contact us at support@vowdaily.app and we will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of VowDaily after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
